For this denim bag, a denim fabric composed of 80% GOTS certified organic cotton and 20% GRS certified recycled cotton was used.

For the print, a waxed fabric was used, i.e. a type of 100% cotton fabric, the printing of which is done with wax in an artisanal manner in Africa.

The handle is made of 80% recycled leather and 20% other fibres. The zip is made of antiqued brass and zamak, and is nickel-free.

The bags in the Africa collection are designed and produced by the small Spanish company Monai, in collaboration with Angata, a Spanish non-profit association that has been working in West Africa on local development projects for over 20 years, as well as bringing some African culture, such as these fabrics, to Spain.

Monai handcrafts each model one by one in their workshop. All their creations are unique pieces. The design varies slightly depending on the cut of the fabric from one model to another.

Monai designs and produces entirely in Spain in an artisanal way in a workshop in Valladolid, with materials such as vegetable leather, cork, bamboo wood or recycled denim, mostly from national and local suppliers.

Monai has a great passion for what is natural, what is different, the company's creative minds are constantly inspired and of course, with a touch of chaos, they love carefully crafted pieces, handmade, letting the imagination of the moment fly.
