Orleander paper bag

Discover the Orleander shoulder bag! This ultralight tote bag will be your ally in the office but also for a day's shopping. It is spacious and well divided. It can hold a 13-inch notebook, A4 documents and everything you need for everyday use. The zipped compartment inside will allow you to keep your keys and wallet safe. Lightweight and functional, the Orleander model becomes more beautiful with time.

The entire Orleander collection is handmade and made from FSC paper and organic cotton. The paper is treated and waterproofed, you can safely take your bag out in the rain and even wash it in the washing machine!

Product features:

Interior: the interior of the Orleander bag consists of a large compartment, plus a small zipped pocket. The lining is made of a cotton blend.

Outside: detachable and length-adjustable shoulder strap. The shoulder strap can be either black and white cotton, or gold paper.

Closure: zip.

Materials used: FSC washable and biodegradable paper with ecological dyeing, organic cotton, cellulose fibres. Only 100% vegan materials.

At first, the washable paper feels a little stiff, but the more you use the product, the more flexible the material will become. We recommend treating the product with a cream, in order to protect it against moisture and dirt in the best possible way.

The small Dutch company Colibries wants to share handicrafts in an ethical and sustainable way. It makes bags and accessories with a nice dose of inspiration, to help you live more consciously. Its mission is to offer fantastic and sustainable accessories, but also original gift ideas that can be personalised, so that you can take something with you that has an incredible unique touch.

Colibries was founded in 2013 by two ‘friends forever’, born in Vietnam and raised in the Netherlands. Thuy and Tuong created a bridge between their Eastern roots and their Western lifestyle through their careers as creative buyers and product developers. Realising the large footprint that products can leave on the environment, they decided to change course and thus Colibries was born. With their small project, Thuy and Tuong wish to share with you products made in a conscious way that make you happy. Their motto is to enjoy life, to love the world we all live in, and to make sure that other people and the next generations have the quality of life they deserve.

Colibries wants to remain a small company, and is committed to maintaining a small footprint and producing in thoughtful, limited quantities. The unique characteristics of each product are preserved through various hand touches from start to finish in the production process, which includes the choice of using trimmings and advanced fabrics. It is precisely this way of interpreting details that allows the two ‘friends forever’ to stand out.
